My hair is as black as the dark night sky.

The mountain was as green as the grass.

Her hair is as gold as the sparkling sun.

Her tears fall down like a flowy river.

The table was as blue as the salty sea.

Cultural festival

On Saturday 25th November the day of the cultural groups, I went to the owairaka tent to find my clothes for the first performance. My first performance was kapa-haka and I was so excited to her that the prime minister was the one who would open the cultural festival. We performed and the crowed was so big and loud, they were so happy and excited to see our dance. My second dance was for the Mexican cultural group. We were dressed in these sparkly red tutu’s and green necklaces. After my performance everybody was clapping, I could see their bright smiles. The day was amazing and I wish I could do it again.
